Paul Edwards
Founder & Director
Former Group CEO of MTN and CEO of Johnnic Holdings and M-Net/DStv, with more than 30 years of executive leadership experience across telecommunications, media and financial technology. As Founding Executive Chairman of Emerging Market Payments (EMPH), he helped build one of Africa's leading electronic payments businesses before its acquisition by Network International. He brings extensive experience in scaling businesses, corporate governance and strategic growth across African and Middle Eastern markets.
Barry Lobel

International technology executive, entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years' experience across private equity, investment management and financial technology. Barry has worked with founders, boards and investors to build businesses, lead transformation and solve complex strategic challenges across Europe and Africa, combining strategic thinking, commercial insight and practical execution to deliver sustainable growth.
Werner van Deventer
Chief Technology Officer
Technology executive and hands-on engineering leader with more than 20 years' experience designing and delivering large-scale payment infrastructure, enterprise platforms and distributed software systems. Werner leads VantagePay's technology strategy, architecture and engineering teams, leading the evolution of the company's Unified Digital Architectural Framework (UDAF) and delivering secure, resilient and scalable payment infrastructure for banks, fintechs and enterprises across Africa.
Dean Sparrow
Non-Executive Director
Co-founder and CEO of Crossfin Technology Holdings, one of Africa's leading fintech investment platforms. A Chartered Accountant (SA), Dean brings more than two decades of experience investing in, building and scaling technology businesses across Africa, with a background spanning private equity, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, governance and executive leadership. He also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Lesaka Technologies, one of Africa's largest fintech groups.
Kwamena Afful

Founding Partner and Managing Director of Pave Investments and Founding Partner of Microtraction, Kwamena has played a pivotal role in shaping Africa's technology ecosystem. With a background spanning venture capital, strategy consulting and corporate law, he has backed many of the continent's most successful startups, including Paystack, Flutterwave and Cowrywise, and serves on the boards of companies across financial services, technology and consumer sectors.
